Kevin Earp, Founder Earp Safety
Kevin Martin, Chairperson Emergency Management Education Subcommittee

With the exploding growth of Independent & Charter schools in the region, several public emergency management officials and safety professionals, recognized a need for guidance and expertise for the independent school sector on a variety of school safety, emergency and risk management disciplines. From from those informal conversations the Carolinas Regional Independent Schools in Safety (CRISIS) Network was born. A memorandum of understanding has been agreed upon with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management to serve as a partner for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area for our Carolinas (CRISIS) Network to be led by Earp Safety.

The Carolinas Regional Independent Schools in Safety (CRISIS) Network is a means for Independent Schools to have access and receive timely information as it relates to school and community safety issues in both North Carolina and South Carolina. More information to come as we transform our Network into a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization and complete the required legalities.
